Relevant Course Work

Digital Marketing

I have learned about a variety of digital marketing practices and gained insight into Owned, Paid and Earned Digital Media. I also acquired certifications in inbound, content, social media, and email marketing. Along with those industry certifications, I also gained experience using WordPress, Google Analytics, Google Ads, as well as Mail chimp.

Marketing Research

I gained much experience by creating and running a marketing research campaign, I was required to produce surveys and conduct focus groups which gave me hands-on experience. Along with the data collected, I conducted exploratory research and both analyzed and presented my findings. Within this course I learned how to effectively collect and use both primary and secondary research in order to make marketing decisions. .

Management Information Systems

I studied the use of a variety of information systems. I gained proficient skills in excel, as well as tableau by organizing tables of data, and using that information in simulations to emulate real world scenarios. I also learned how to ensure the safety of data, and how it can be used both ethically and unethically. 

Practical Strategic Assessment

In this course, I experienced an integrative opportunity within UT’s undergraduate business program, which was known as the strategic assessment project. The course revolved around conducting a strategic assessment of an organization in the Tampa Bay area, serving as its core focus. I had the chance to interact with key managers as I analyzed the organization’s situation, identified relevant issues, and formulated strategic recommendations. This group project allowed me to showcase my skills in critical thinking, public speaking, writing, teamwork, and the application of theory to real-world situations.The course demanded my highest degree of commitment and professional talent.

Promotion and Branding Strategies

I focused on integrated marketing communications and branding strategies, which encompassed advertising, sales promotion, public relations, direct marketing, branding, and social media. I also studied the development of integrated marketing communications plans for organizations.

Professional Sales and Selling

In the Professional Selling course, I examined the personal selling process and the utilization of a professional, customer-oriented, partnering approach for selling products and services. I had the chance to develop a personal perspective on personal selling as a potential career through interactions with various guest speakers. I also experienced the role of a salesperson through a personal selling simulation. The primary aim of this course was to teach me the soft and personal skills essential not only for engaging in meaningful conversations with people but also for identifying customer problems and offering valuable solutions.
